Firefighters responded to a small brush fire east of Santa Margarita on Tuesday.
The fire was first reported at about 11 a.m. on Las Pilitas Rd. east of Vista del Lago.
CAL FIRE reports that forward progress of the fire was stopped at five acres.

The Vista Fire broke out Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, along the 4200 block of Las Pilitas Road near Santa Margarita.
