A small brush fire prompted a lane closure on Highway 101 south of Orcutt on Monday.
The fire was reported at about 11 a.m. along the southbound lanes south of Clark Avenue.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, firefighters were able to contain the flames to a 20-foot by 100-foot spot, and forward progress of the fire was stopped by 11:16 a.m.
One southbound lane of Highway 101 was closed through the area, but was expected to reopen around 1 p.m.
