UPDATE (5:58 p.m.) - Santa Barbara County Fire says two to four acres have burned.

Air tankers, hand crews and engines are being used in the firefight.

Fire officials say forward progress of the small blaze is expected soon.

ORIGINAL STORY: Santa Barbara County firefighters are assisting with a vegetation fire burning in the Los Padres National Forest.

At 5:25 p.m., Santa Barbara County Fire say the so-called Red Fire had burned two to three acres near the Red Rock Campground off Paradise Road in the Santa Barbara area.

Santa Barbara County firefighters are assisting crews from the Los Padres National Forest Service.
