Fire investigators are looking into what caused a Goleta church to catch fire Monday night.
According to Santa Barbara County Fire Capt. Daniel Bertucelli, firefighters were called to 487 N. Turnpike Rd. at about 11:40 p.m. Monday.
When crews arrived at the scene, they reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the Center of the Heart church.
Firefighters knocked down the fire in about an hour and were able to save a large portion of the church, according to Bertucelli.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Traffic was restricted on Turnpike Rd. from Cathedral Oaks to Calle Real.
