Sunday was an overall mild day, with most areas near 70 degrees.
Winds are reversing towards onshore, now bringing concerns of Sundowner winds across canyons and foothills of Santa Barbara County.
Already, strong wind activity has been seen in the Refugio and Gaviota area Sunday afternoon.
Strongest winds are expected to start between Gaviota and Refugio and then move eastward Monday morning, impacting foothills above Montecito.
Impacts of Sundowner winds include power outages and enhanced fire weather concerns.
A fast moving upper trough will help enhance winds and they will persist through Monday evening for Santa Barbara County.
Temperatures will be several degrees cooler on Monday due to the passing trough and gusty winds.
It will remain dry with near normal temperatures through Thursday.
Have a great week!
