Temps cool down this weekend, marine layer returns

Dry and cooler weather is expected this weekend and the marine layer looks to make a return at the coast.

Heading into your weekend, mist and drizzle is possible in the morning and evening hours at the beach as the low marine fog deepens, but majority of the day looks to be sunny.

Gusty northerly wind over southern Santa Barbara County should push away any low clouds from that area.

Gusty northwest to north winds are anticipated in the early evening with strong winds in the foothills and mountains.

Temperatures continue to remain cooler than what we saw earlier in the week, dipping 4 to 10 degrees below the seasonal norm on Saturday and Sunday.

Daytime highs Saturday look to reach upper 60's at the beach, low to mid-70's for the coastal valleys and low 80's inland.

Things start to warm back up on Monday before a slight cooling mid week with a thicker marine fog in the morning and evening hours.
