After a significantly hot day for the area, Wednesday's conditions will pose some relief for the Central and South Coast regions.
Most of the coastal valleys and beaches will have about ten degrees of cooling, which will bring daytime highs back to the 80s for the coastal valleys and the 70s for the beaches. On the other hand, the inland valleys will need an extra day to really start cooling down. Daytime highs for the interior valleys will stay close to the 90s and triple-digits, however, by Thursday temperatures will be closer to the low 80s.
An upper low over Southern California and onshore push will bring significant cloud cover to the region on Thursday. This shift in the weather could bring some light showers to Southern California, however, models are indicating that the Central Coast and South Coast could just see drizzle Thursday through Saturday.
