Low pressure is nudging back over the region Thursday, which could mean the Central Coast might receive some afternoon rain. However, the morning commute will be dry with patchy low clouds and temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
As the upper low pushes eastward Thursday, it may cause some rainfall across Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties from the afternoon through the evening hours. Not only could the area see rain, but thunderstorms are also a possibility, mainly over the mountains and foothills. Lighter rainfall totals will be over the coastal regions while the mountains could receive over an inch of rain. Rainfall rates will range from .10-.33''. Minor mud and debris flow also have to be considered if the thunderstorms do come into play and produce some significant rainfall.
Daytime highs will be a few degrees warmer across the Central Coast. The Inland and coastal valleys will range from the upper 60s to the mid-70s and the beaches will be right around the mid to upper 60s. Breezy northeasterly winds will kick-off the morning, followed by winds that will shift out of the northwest by the afternoon hours.
Friday should be mostly dry, but the next chance for rain will likely be Saturday, which will carry over to Sunday, followed by increased chance through most of next week.
