Good morning, Central Coast!

As we kick off a new week, it is all about heat. The high pressure that increased temps last week is now retrograding (backing up) into the region. That will allow temps to soar this week, with highs reaching into the triple digits.

The good news is that the cooler temps we expect each morning are still in place. That will pair with fog and cloud cover limiting visibility for the morning commute.

By mid-morning, the skies will clear, and heat will begin. Here are the high temps we can expect for Monday afternoon.

Those temps have prompted a high heat advisory from Monday morning through Tuesday at 10 a.m.

At that point it will be upgraded to a extreme heat watch. That will stay in place through Friday.

Into the weekend, some cooling is in store. More mild weather for the extended forecast.

Here is what that all looks like on the 7-day forecast!

Have a wonderful day and great week ahead, Central Coast!
