Happy Sunday, Central Coast!
We are close to the end of the heat advisory and extreme heat warning that are hitting the Central Coast. In San Luis Obispo County, the heat advisory is set to wrap up around 8pm tonight. Parts of Santa Barbara County are under an extreme heat warning, which will be expiring at the same time. The southern coast of Santa Barbara County is also under a coastal flood advisory, stretching all the way down the rest of the California coast. That is going to be sticking around until Thursday, August 13, at midnight.
Today's temperatures were warm today, but luckily we are on the tail end of this advisory. Cooler conditions are on the horizon.
Temperatures are set to cool down throughout the week as we get farther from the heat advisory. Paso Robles will be dropping around 15 degrees by the time next weekend is set to roll around. San Luis Obispo is sticking within the 70s. Santa Maria and Santa Barbara will be cooling down from the mid 70s to the high 60s later into the week.
