Good morning, Central Coast!

The morning is kicking off with mild weather and clear (ish) conditions. While cloud cover is still very much the story, it is not nearly as low-lying. That means visibility is much better to kick off the day than we saw the past few days.

The monsoon moisture from our southeast is moving in and will make for a bit of a muggy afternoon in the interior valleys. Beaches and coastal communities will be more moderate. Here are those high temperatures.

Heat over the weekend will increase for the interiors. Here is what that looks like.

The heat continues to prompt alerts. There is a high heat warning in place for the Cuyama Valley through 8 p.m. Sunday as well as a heat advisory for the farther interior communities through Sunday evening.

The heat will peak on Saturday but will stay hot into Monday.

Here is what that looks like on the 7-day forecast.

Next week we will see a new pattern emerge as onshore winds kick in and cooler marine air extends into the interior valleys. For us, that will mean temps fall below normal for this time of the year, even for the interior valleys.

Have a wonderful day and a great weekend ahead!
