Tuesday is going to be another warm day for the Central Coast. Areas along the coast will also feel the heat with daytime highs ranging from the upper-60s all the way to the mid-80s for beaches like Avila Beach.

Much of the coastal valley communities will feel the heat Tuesday as temperatures range from the mid-70s to the low 90s. San Luis Obispo is likely to reach 90 degrees Tuesday afternoon. As for the inland valleys, expect another scorcher. Daytime highs will generally be close to the upper 90s, but cities like Paso Robles and Atascadero have the potential to reach 103 degrees.

Some patchy marine layer and stratus are expected throughout the morning commute, which will linger for much of the coastal regions of the Central Coast through the afternoon. Northwesterly winds will be moderate Tuesday, ranging from 10-20 miles per hour from the afternoon through early evening.

The extended forecast shows cooler temperatures are expected by Thursday.
