Gusty onshore winds are back in the forecast with the impacted areas ranging from the coasts to the mountains and foothills in Santa Barbara County. A wind advisory will go into effect Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and last until Friday at 6:00 a.m. Within this window of time, northwesterly to north winds in areas west of Refugio will range from 20-35 mile per hour winds with gusts up to 50 mph. From Goleta to Montecito Hills, north winds will range from 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. The strongest winds will be from 6:00 p.m. to midnight and gusty winds will persist in the hills above Montecito through early Friday morning.

Daytime highs will start to trend down Thursday as a result of a trough of low pressure that is moving over the state and onshore flow. Maximum temperatures for the inland valleys aren't expected to go past the upper 70s and the coastal valleys will be right around the low to mid-70s. Not much is changing along the coast as daytime highs will still be right around the mid upper 60s.

A high surf advisory has been issued for San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County. That advisory will go into effect at 5:00 p.m. Thursday and expire at 8:00 a.m. Saturday. Throughout the advisory, surf will have the potential to range from 10 to 15 feet.
