A low pressure system is dropping out of the Pacific NW, this feature will crank up the winds across the state. For us on the Central Coast we'll notice NW winds 15-25 with gusts to 30mph on Wednesday afternoon and early evening. This will clear out any marine clouds in the area. Then the winds turn around NE Thursday and Friday in the night and morning hours driving a warm-up, the winds will also be dry. This is a fire concern however we are not in the area of greatest concern, both northern California and southern California have significantly higher wind potential from this event. Some fire weather alerts have already been posted.
To me I think we stay dry through mid-month but models are showing a frontal passage on the 17th-18th of the month for the potential for some showers but certainly not a huge storm.
