UPDATE (3:10 p.m.) - According to Atascadero Police Chief Dan Suttles, a modular home that was being transported along El Camino Real, snagged an overhead telephone line, causing multiple poles to come down.
No injuries were reported.
It's unknown how long the road will be closed, but Chief Suttles said work could continue into the evening. Southbound lanes El Camino Real are open.

(10:49 a.m.) - Part of El Camino Real in Atascadero was closed Monday morning after multiple utility poles fell into the roadway.
According to the Atascadero Police Department, the northbound side of the road was closed between Palomar Ave. and Solano Rd.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.
A few small power outages were reported along El Camino. Crews are reportedly on scene to make repairs.
