The Atascadero Fire Department is investigating the cause of a house fire Sunday afternoon.
The fire broke out at around 4:45 p.m. on the front porch of the home on Castano Avenue near Curbaril Avenue.
According to the fire department, the house was engulfed in flames when crews arrived and the fire was spreading to the vegetation behind the home.
Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring homes, but the fire left four people in the home displaced.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support the residents — Mariah Byrd, her two daughters, and her 75-year-old father.
