A pedestrian was struck and killed in Atascadero on Monday morning.
It happened at about 10:20 a.m. on the southbound Highway 101 onramp from San Anselmo Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, 69-year-old Rachel Hoffman of Atascadero was walking in the crosswalk when she was struck by a pickup truck. She reportedly died at the scene.
The male driver of the pickup remained at the scene.
The CHP is investigating.
