Santa Lucia Middle School presented a $1,000 check to Shelter Box USA at the San Simeon Bar & Grill on Friday. Students raised the money through a bake sale, where they sold homemade cookies, muffins, and more. The funds will help people who have lost things during a natural disaster.
The money will reportedly allow the agency to buy essential supplies such as tents and cookware sets.
