UPDATE (2:30 a.m.): The westbound lanes of Highway 46 and 41 near the Cholame Y have been cleared.

(ORIGINAL STORY): - One person was killed in a crash Wednesday night in the area of Highways 46 and 41 near the Cholame Y.
CAL FIRE says one person is dead, two people suffered major injuries, one person had moderate injuries and five had minor injuries in the crash involving a minivan and pickup truck.
A helicopter was requested at the scene along with three ambulances.
The crash was reported at about 10:05 p.m.
Westbound lanes of Highway 46 are closed, according to the California Highway Patrol.
