Halloween morning will be chilly as some temperatures will be in the 20s up until 8:00 a.m. A hard freeze warning will remain in place for the inland valleys in San Luis Obispo County through Friday at 9:00 a.m. Early morning temperatures could be as low as 23 degrees Friday morning for cities like Paso Robles and Atascadero. A frost advisory is in effect for northern Santa Barbara County through 9:00 a.m. Thursday as morning temperatures will range from the low to mid-30s.
As fires continue to burn across California, some of the smoke from the wildfires could impact the Central Coast. An air quality alert will be in place through 2:00 p.m. for San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County.
The good news is that daytime highs will warm up to the 70s Thursday. Daytime highs for the coastal and inland valley communities will be right around the mid to upper 70s, and the beaches could reach the low 70s. There will be breezy easterly winds along the coast Thursday morning that will later turn onshore and taper off.
