Cal Poly redshirt senior pitcher Andrew Alvarez was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 12th round of the MLB Draft. Alvarez was the 353rd pick, becoming the second Mustangs selected in the draft. A total of 74 Cal Poly players coached by Larry Lee in 19 seasons have signed professional baseball contracts.
