Ashlee Buzzard, the Vandenberg Village mother accused of killing her nine-year-old daughter, Melodee, was back in court Monday.
Her defense attorney, Erica Sutherland, told the judge she plans to file an additional motion with another court hearing now scheduled for September 8.
Sutherland also brought in a blue stress ball she is proposing Buzzard be allowed to use during her preliminary hearing.
The prosecution did not raise any new matters.
Buzzard's preliminary hearing remains set for September 16.
She is charged with first-degree murder and has pleaded not guilty.
