The Lompoc Police Department is inviting the community to attend the Car Cruise and Public Safety Night on Friday, August 7, during the weekly Old Town Market.
Visitors should expect a variety of classic cars from the local community along the 100 Block of South H Street at around 5:00 p.m., with the cruise wrapping up at 7:00 p.m. The market will continue until 8 p.m.
Those who want to show off their ride should plan to line up at 4:00 p.m., entering from C Street at the Civic Center.
The LPD encourages the community to stop by the LPD public safety area, where they can meet officers, enjoy giveaways, explore static displays, and learn more about the department's programs and services.
Proceeds from the event will support cadets and help provide training and equipment for local youth interested in careers in public safety.
