A 96-year-old man died after being hit by a vehicle in Lompoc Monday night.
Lompoc police say it appears the man was attempting to cross the 2000 block of North H Street when he was hit at around 9:14 p.m. near the Lompoc airport.
Although life-saving measures were performed at the scene, police say the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
The incident remains under investigation.
