A new building that will be used for wine production and storage is going up on the north end of Lompoc.

City offiicals say building and grading permits have been approved for the approximately 17,820 square-foot building for Racines Wine at 1025 W. Central Avenue.

According to the company's website, the California winery produces a range of pinot noir and chardonnay from the Santa Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County.
