UPDATE: SpaceX successfully launched the Falcon 9 rocket at around 9:25 p.m.
Guardians and Airmen at Vandenberg Space Force Base are gearing up to support the launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Thursday.
The launch window opens at 6:57 p.m. and runs through 10:57 p.m. from Space Launch Complex 4 East.
The rocket will carry 24 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit, enhancing Department of War communications.
