SpaceX is preparing to launch 27 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit aboard a Falcon 9 rocket early Saturday, August 22 from Vandenberg Space Force Base.
The launch is expected to happen around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, with a launch window extending into the early morning hours.
The mission will deploy another batch of Starlink satellites as SpaceX continues expanding its global satellite-internet constellation.
A live webcast of the mission began about 10 minutes before liftoff on SpaceX's website and on X at @SpaceX.
This will be the ninth flight for the Falcon 9 first-stage booster supporting the mission. The booster has previously launched NROL-105 and seven Starlink missions.
Following stage separation, SpaceX will attempt to land the booster on the autonomous droneship Of Course I Still Love You, stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
