UPDATE: SpaceX's latest launch lifted off at 12:48 a.m. Sunday from Vandenberg Space Force Base, marking the 63rd overall launch from the base this year.
"Each launch approved by the Vandenberg range is designated by the federal government to advance economic growth, bolster national security, and achieve national space objectives," the base posted on social media.
SpaceX reported that 28 Starlink satellites were deployed in low-Earth orbit as a result of the launch.
