The latest election results released Friday show just 31 votes separating San Luis Obispo County District 4 Supervisor candidates Lynn Compton and Jimmy Paulding.
Compton, the incumbent, has 7,982 votes to challenger Paulding’s 7,951 votes.
According to the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder’s Office, a little less than 12,000 ballots remain to be counted countywide. Nearly 2,500 of them are from District 4.
Ballot processing is expected to continue on Monday.
