Investigators say they found drugs, drug paraphernalia, and stolen property inside Torrez’s car. He was booked into the Lompoc City Jail on charges of evading a police officer, hit and run, driving without a license, resisting arrest, possession of drugs, possession of stolen property. Torrez also faced three outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

The patrol car suffered minor damage, officials say.
