The latest ballot results released Wednesday afternoon show Lynn Compton retaining her lead over Jimmy Paulding in the race for San Luis Obispo County 4th District supervisor.
Compton, the incumbent, has 9,183 votes to Paulding’s 9,128 votes.
With a 55-vote lead and only 46 vote-by-mail ballots remaining to be counted, Paulding would be unable to overtake Compton.
The two have been separated by less than 100 votes since the close of polls on June 5.
