Construction is set to begin at the site of the Central Coast’s first Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. It broke ground on Monday.
The restaurant and store will be located at the Enos Ranch shopping center at the corner of Betteravia and Bradley roads in Santa Maria.
Cracker Barrel says the more than 10,000 square-foot restaurant, including the front porch, will seat up to 180 guests at a time.
The company expects to employ more than 225 people in full and part-time positions.
The store is expected to open in Feb. 2019. It will be the third Cracker Barrel in California. The other two stores are located in Victorville and Sacramento.
