Excessive heat warnings remain in place for SLO and SB counties for continued hot weather to begin the weekend.

Many areas will experience temperatures in the upper 90s to around 100 in the coastal valleys and 100-110 inland Saturday.  Beaches will range from the upper 70s to near 90 degrees Saturday.  Some noticeable cooling will take place at the beaches Sunday with highs returning into the 70s but coastal valleys will stilll range from the mid 80s to the mid 90s.  Little relief inland on Sunday with highs still 105-110.

Temps will stil run on the warm side thru Tuesday for much of the area until more onshore flow returns for the second half of next week, at that point temps return to near seasonal averages.

Clearly with temps this hot you are urged to take precautions.  Also fire threat is very high and people are asked to be especially aware of conditions around them and to report any activity.
