The superintendent of the Lucia Mar Unified School District announced her resignation Monday in a letter sent to district employees.
In the letter, Dr. Raynee Daley says her last day will be no later than Jan. 1, 2019. In the meantime, she’ll be on medical leave.
Daley says she will be retiring to focus on her health.
The school district’s board of education is expected to meet Tuesday afternoon to accept Daley’s resignation and discuss her replacement.
Daley was named superintendent in July 2015.
