The Santa Maria Planning Commission approved the plans for a future housing area for senior citizens.
The project that the organization voted on, Cox Bungalows, was unanimously passed and approved on October 17.
Cox Bungalows will feature 30 residential units, as well as an exercise area and community center for residents. There will also be ample parking for visitors and guests of the residents.
The facility will be built at 1141 West Cox Lane in Santa Maria. No word yet on when construction for the housing will begin.
