Set aside the fake blood this Halloween. The Santa Maria community is asking locals to roll up their sleeves and donate real blood Wednesday at a special Halloween blood drive.
Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab on Betteravia Road is hosting a Vitalant blood drive from 1-6 p.m.
Donors will receive a treat bag that includes a certificate for fudge or a pint of ice cream from Doc Bernstein’s, plus fangs in the spirit of Halloween.
