Drivers in San Luis Obispo County are likely to encounter numerous hazards during the morning commute Thursday due to impacts from the rain storm moving through the area.

CHP officers in San Luis Obispo have responded to a single car crash on Highway 101 northbound half-way up the Cuesta Grade.

A slide prompted CHP to close Las Tablas Rd between Oakdale Rd and Willow Creek Rd near Templeton. County crews are headed to the scene.

Another mudslide was reported along Las Tablas Rd near Booker Rd. CHP officers were en route as of 7:15 a.m. Thursday to see if drivers can still get through there.

CHP officers are also assessing whether it’s safe for drivers to travel along Old Creek Rd from Highway 1 in Cayucos to Highway 46 in the Templeton/Atascadero area because of multiple reports of mudslides and trees down across the roadway.
