Infant ibuprofen sold at Walmart, CVS and Family Dollar is being voluntarily recalled by the company that produces the medicine.

Tris Pharma says the bottles potentially contain higher concentrations of ibuprofen that may cause harm to babies’ kidneys.

Side-effects may include nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, diarrhea, tinnitus, headache and gastrointestinal bleeding.

The recall affects three lots of the pain reliever/fever reducer. Click here for a list of the recalled lots.

Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Tris Customer Service at 732-940-0358. Parents are also told to contact their child’s pediatrician or healthcare provider if their child is suffering from any symptoms possibly related to the recalled drug.
