Frost advisory in the forecast for coastal cities, chilly New Year’s Eve ahead on Central Coast

The Central Coast is in for some cooler temperatures through the New Year with lows dipping below 40 degrees in many areas.

Inland areas like Paso Robles could see lows in the 20s throughout the week.

New Year’s Eve will be a chilly night for all areas across the Central Coast.

A frost advisory will take effect Monday in Arroyo Grande, Cambria, and Morro Bay with a hard freeze watch going into effect in Santa Ynez and Solvang on Monday night.

A wind advisory is currently in effect in Goleta and Santa Barbara until 6 a.m. Monday.

Models show the potential for rain by next weekend but no real precipitation concerns throughout the week.
