A 13-mile stretch of Highway 166 from New Cuyama to Maricopa is back open Thursday morning.
Caltrans closed the highway in both directions Wednesday morning after power poles and lines fell across the roadway.
As of 6 a.m. Thursday, the California Highway Patrol says the highway is open to drivers.
Rain and wind continue to make for difficult driving conditions. Caltrans and CHP ask drivers to allow extra time for your commute and be cautious.
