Wind advisory issued for San Luis Obispo County interior valleys

and last updated

Windy conditions will pick up heading into the afternoon hours Thursday. A wind advisory will be in effect from 2-8 p.m. for the interior valleys in San Luis Obispo County. Sustaining winds will generally be from 15-25 miles per hour with wind gusts from 35-45 mph.

Fog and marine layer will cover most of the coast, coastal and interior valleys throughout Thursday morning. “June gloom” will be a factor once again Thursday, especially for the beaches, which will mean limited amounts of sunshine.

Due to onshore flow and deepening marine layer, daytime highs will struggle to warm up Thursday. Even the interior valleys are expected to only reach the low 70s Thursday. The coastal valleys will be close to the mid to upper 60s and the beaches will range from the low to mid-60s.
