As the weekend kicks off, more sunshine and windy conditions remain in the forecast.
The Central Coast is still sandwiched between low pressure to the north and high pressure to the south, and as a result, the area will experience slightly warmer conditions through the weekend.
Daytime highs for the interior valleys are expected to reach the upper 80s Friday. The coastal valleys will be right around the mid-70s with the coast fluctuating between the upper 60s and low 70s.
Morning marine layer and fog will be patchy Friday morning, but weather models are showing clearing will happen throughout the morning commute. Northwesterly winds will help keep a lot of the marine layer off the coast as wind gusts will range from 15-30 miles per hour Friday. Gusty 40 mph sundowner winds are forecasted for late afternoon near Santa Barbara County’s south coast region, however, it’s not strong enough to issue a wind advisory.
