and last updated

Night and morning marine layer and clouds continue to fill in along the coast and coastal valleys Monday morning. Weather models are showing clearing will likely happen by late morning, and as a result, sunshine will be widespread.

Simultaneously, windy conditions will persist. Santa Barbara County’s mountains, foothills, and south coast were under a wind advisory through 4:00 a.m. Monday as wind gusts nearly reached 50 miles per hour in Gaviota. As of 4:05 a.m., the wind advisory had not been extended, despite forecasted windy conditions through most of Monday. Northwesterly winds are expected to be from 15-25  miles per hour, increasing late afternoon through early evening.

Daytime highs for the interior valleys will range from the upper 80s to low 90s, while the coastal valleys will be from the low to mid-70s. Conditions along the coast will be slightly cooler and mostly near the mid-60s.
