A ridge of high pressure will continue to expand over the state, resulting in another day of warmer temperatures.
The interior valleys are inching towards triple digits, but for Wednesday, daytime highs will be right around the low to mid-90s. Thursday through Monday, daytime highs in the interior valleys are expected to stay between the upper 90s and low 100s, which will likely prompt a heat advisory.
For the coastal valleys, daytime highs will be mild Wednesday, mostly from the low to mid-70s. At the coast, temperatures are starting to warm up but will stay between the mid-60s and low 70s.
Marine layer and fog will blanket the area through mid-morning before clearing up in the coastal and interior valleys. It’s likely that the marine layer could be stubborn to clear for the coast and that sunshine won’t be widespread until early afternoon.
