UPDATE 11/16/2025 12:06 p.m.: According to a post made by Caltrans, the section of SR-1 between Ragged Point and four miles north of Santa Lucia is now open. However, the closure further north of Lucia is still ongoing as a result of the Regent's Slide.

According to the California Highway Patrol, SR-1 is closed from Ragged Point moving north. This is due to the long-term closure in Monterey County due to multiple rockslides.

Caltrans says they are planning to provide updates after reevaluating conditions. In the meantime, it's recommended to avoid the area.
