A Stanford University student was found dead at a fraternity house Friday morning according to NBC Bay Area.
NBC Bay Area reports the Palo Alto Fire Department found the student unresponsive at the Theta Delta Chi Fraternity House around 10:21 a.m. Friday.
Students were notified of the death in a statement sent out by the university.
According to NBC Bay Area, the Stanford Daily reported the person was a male sophomore student.
“While we are working to understand the family’s wishes, we are not in a position to share the student’s name,” wrote Vice Provost for Student Affairs Susie Brubaker-Cole.
The cause is under investigation, but there is no evidence of foul play at this point.
