The non-profit One805 is collecting supplies such as masks and gloves for first responders on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.
One805 was created with a goal of supporting first responders by funding emergency equipment, counseling services, and community preparedness programs.
The organization will be opening its Santa Barbara office this Friday, March 20 through Sunday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to collect the following needed supplies (unused):
- Masks (all kinds)
- Gloves
- Liquid hand sanitizer
- Protective medical clothing
A monitored drop box will be located at the office at 2000 State Street. One805 asks that donations be secured in large envelopes or bags.
Supplies can also be mailed to One805, Inc., 2000 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93105.
The supplies will be disseminated to departments throughout Santa Barbara County.
One805 is also searching for empty residences to be used for active first responders who want to limit potential virus exposure to their family members. Anyone with such a resource is asked to email info@one805.org.
