Santa Barbara County reports 17 new COVID-19 cases, total now 284 and two deaths

Santa Barbara County Public Health Department (PHD) reported 17 more cases of COVID-19 in the county Monday. The total number of confirmed cases is 284.

Of the new cases, seven are inmates at the Federal Prison in Lompoc.

124 people are recovering at home, 40 are recovering in a hospital, 15 of whom are in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 109 have fully recovered, and nine are pending an update. Two deaths have been reported.

Five more cases were reported in city of Lompoc and the communities of Mission Hills and Vandenberg Village, three in Santa Maria, one in Orcutt and one in Santa Barbara which includes the unincorporated area of Mission Canyon.
