San Luis Obispo County added 34 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the county's total to 6,345 confirmed cases as of Dec. 1.
It's the lowest single-day increase in about a month.
Paso Robles and Nipomo both added eight cases each on Tuesday, followed by Atascadero at six and San Luis Obispo with three. Several other locations added just one case.
According to the Public Health Department, eight people are hospitalized, including one patient who is in the ICU. Another 900 people are recovering at home and health officials say 5,395 people have recovered.
San Luis Obispo County has had 38 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The location of 16 additional cases is under investigation, and another seven are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.
Community COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in Nipomo, Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles and Morro Bay.
