SLO Co. reports 369 new COVID-19 cases, 6 new deaths

San Luis Obispo County is reporting the deaths of six more people who had COVID-19.

Health officials say the patients were between the ages of 60 and 100.

San Luis Obispo County has now had 125 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The county also added 369 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the county's total to 14,778 confirmed cases as of January 14.

Health officials say 52 people are hospitalized. Another 2,656 people are recovering at home and health officials say 11,919 people have recovered.

San Luis Obispo County is reporting that 15 of the 38 licensed and staffed ICU beds in the county are currently occupied. Eight of them are taken by COVID-19 patients.

The location of 80 additional cases is under investigation, and another eight are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.

Community COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach, and Nipomo.
